  Green Monster invades Princeton
Inspired by the Red Sox playoff wins, Ball Hill Road resident Michael Ivas decided to build his own "Green Monster" in his back yard.

The replica of Fenway ParkÍs left field wall is eight feet high and 32 feet long, painted green of course, with Red Sox painted on it. Ivas created the wall last weekend.

"We have a big yard and my wife has a large Italian family from Worcester," said Ivas. "We get together on holidays, especially Labor Day and the Fourth of July for family gatherings. We play wiffle ball and have a home run derby. Hitting the ball into the woods means itÍs a home run. So I decided to put up our own Green Monster at the edge of the woods. Now itÍs just perfect."

Ivas has placed benches and seven candles in front of the wall; the seventh candle is red for the winning Sox team. "IÍll light a candle after each of the World Series games," said Ivas. "Hopefully we donÍt have to go the full seven games and the Sox will win in fewer games.

"People are welcome to come and sit on the bench and meditate or pray for the Sox to win," he added.

The Sox Win!! Woo Hoo, Now the earth will turn inside out and Michael Jackson will morph into Satan... oh wait too late.

Ok, it happened, the Red Sox won the World Series, and believe it or not the polar ice caps are not melting, volcanoes haven't erupted around the earth and Pedro's hair hasn't caught on fire for selling his soul to the devil for the World Series Trophy. The fact that the Cards didn't come away with a single victory and their number 4,5,6 hitters looked like they were in T-ball still batting below .050 made the series pretty lame. Its great the Sox won but the excitement left when the evil empire was taken down during the ALCS. Congrats Sox and thanks a lot now I have to wait until I'm 116 before you win another World Series.

Palooza long gone but hit their site anyway

We usually forget to hit a few sites during our attempt to stay up for 50 some odd hours working on Wiffleball websites. During that time there is always a site that we forget about. This weeks site that we forget about but shouldn't is the Wifflepalooza site. Hit that beeotch up for some recaps of the tourney that happened during the summer. Oh Summer how we miss you already.

Holy Schnikies batman its been a while since our last post to the old Yardball Nation.

So much for keeping on top of this bad boy. Well we're back in somewhat better shape to have at it this offseason. Better shape as in rounder in the gut and bustin some chairs in the front office. We've been getting some whining and complaining and crying about people wanting their link here on the YBN site so we figured it was time to stop watching the paint dry and put some new links for everyone to see. So hit 'em up freaks and if you have a link shoot an E-mail to ybn@wifflehouse.com. We may get to it before 2005.
